Whenever he would come
My dad and I use to have fun
Whenever i use to cry
He wiped my tears with his smile
Once we were playing foothball
Suddenly he started talking on a call
I ran and held his elbow
And whispered ” i wont let u go”
After ending the call
He again started playing with the ball
It was a call from my camp
I am not going my little champ
The worst part was yet to come
We were going through our photo album
Again his phone started ringing
But this time he was singing
Accha chalta hoon,
duwaaon mein yaad rakhna…..
I have to leave for my duty for nation
Protecting my country is my one and only passion
We saluted and he waved at us
As he sat in the bus
He shouted i’ll be back soon
Dont cry my beautiful moon
Yes he returned back as he said,
But this time wrapped in the flag.
That uniform was speaking the truth
The pain he went through.
He always use to say,
“A true soldier never dies”
But my eyes didn’t stop crying anyways
They are waiting for you to smile.
